SC Millenium
Review of (4)Muddy Moats of Death:
Map Name: Muddy Moats of Death
Map Size: 256x256
Map Tileset: Jungle Terrain
Maximum Amount of Players: 4
Download: Made by Creator Unknown Download
General Description:
Each player is set up in one corner. Their base is similar to a castle description. The map is also congruent (like most maps) with many expansions.
Good Points:
- There weren't a lot of ridges but there was enough to make the map interesting. Your base was surrounded by a thin ridge and almost all the expansions were surrounded by a thin ridge (with an opening) or on a ridge or they were on a ridge.
- There were plenty of expansions. If you played this game with experts it would be a GREAT much up. There weren't great amounts of minerals either which makes the map more challenging.
- The map was nicely laid out. It wasn't clustered and gave you enough room to build buildings and mass produce (ex. hives with the Zerg). The map was also good for both Terran, Protoss, and Zerg. Zerg have trouble with ridges but since there were few here it was fine.
- This map was better for more of a defense position. If you could set up the defense correctly it would be difficult to knock it down. The general strategy here would be to play how you normally do: whether it be mass marines, or a mixture of dragoons and reavers it's really up to you but the key to this map is to force out all the minerals (take over all expansions) especially if the enemy decides not to expand.
Bad Points:
- If you are going to play this map change it mineral so it can hold 2500. This would make the game last longer and make it a lot more interesting especially if your a newbie, or average player.
- There are a few technical errors, and some expansions will not fit a hatch/cc/nexus.
Conclusion:
Great map it's just never played. I think that if people began to play it on battle.net it would become as popular as Lost Temple or BigGameHunters. However, there are a few minor but important mistakes that lowered my interests. Definitely a 5/10.
Final Opinion: 5 of 10
